Can anyone who was spotting at LGW onthis horrid wet day at appx 12.00 let me know if 2 heavy freight aircraft took off as about 12 10 overhead here(THEY ARE ON A SEAFORD DEP i THINK TODAY) there were 2 almighty big rumbles-sadly couldnt see a thing due to the cloud but it sounded like Das air used to -really low and heavy!
Would love to know what they were-they were appx 5 mins apart-Ghana 100 went over-I had the scanner on but dont think that would have made the same noise-contract ??? was also on freq at the time but not sure if that was out of LGW
Thanks!

Heya
Try this site: http://lgw.webtrak-lochard.com/template/index.html
Been reported on in a few newspapers this week because people have started using it to check how many planes fly over their house for use in noise complaints etc. Very useful site – it’s got me noting down noisy planes and then checking what they are the next day (I live near MAY VOR). Looking at the radar for that time…
G0100 was a 767-300 & flew overhead SFD at exactly 1210 at 8000ft.
KM117 was a A320 & was over SFD at about 1215 at 10000ft
BA2602 was a 734 & flew over at 1225
These were the only 3 SFD departures during this time period.
Hope this sort of helps.
