Another of those ‘almost’ unanswerable questions ? Two photos of a Heinkel 111 shot down at Watton Norfolk ….. The photos come from a small collection owned by the anti aircraft gunner who shot it down !
I have no more information !! No date … It appears no ID on the aircraft, maybe censored ?
What I do know is …. a lot of you very well informed people here are going to tell me more ???? 😉

bms44. this is part of something I am trying to influence people with ! that almost every family has … somewhere within their recent history and family members a collection of photos from this period … that may be of no interest to surviving members of the deceased and maybe lost forever ! Keith. 🙂
Some years ago I telephoned the ‘Kent Messenger’ newspaper trying to find a photo of an ME109 my father witnessed being shot down. I was told that a lot of photos from the period were thrown out due to lack of space !! :rolleyes:

I wonder what happened to the aircraft ? Broken up I suppose, after being
thoroughly inspected. ?

I’ll have to show this to my dad. Both of my parents are now 90yrs old, and
live in Watton. Although only since 1984.

Nothing of any technical use to add but I thought I’d mention that my father ( on whose behalf I am submitting this) watched the plane come down. He was manning a gun at Watton but wasn’t the person who shot it down. We had a piece of it in our house for years. No idea what happened to it. I found this on his 90th birthday so it was agreat treat for him to see the pictures and it spurred lots of memories so thank you to the person who put up the photios.

Heinrich Busch was involved in the murder of Dr. Karl Lehmann.

The RCMP investigated the murders. It took three years to complete the second murder investigation. There were also some important legal issues about whether the POWs could go to trial in a Canadian court. In the end, four men were convicted and hanged at Lethbridge Jail in 1946 for the 1944 murder of Dr. Karl Lehmann.
