Does anyone have any futher info about this crash ? it was shot down by Flt Lt DFW Darling of 151 Squadron.
Has the site ever been investigated ? if so who by and was there anything found?
Reason for asking, I have Squadron Leader Darling DFC’s Uniform & side cap.
I thought it would make a nice display alongside his tunic, a piece of the aircraft he shot down.

Windsor Great Park also collected a Bf 109 as well, which came off worse after scrapping with a couple of Ansons!

I have since found out that someone called Paul Kiddel ? investigated the site and found some wreakage, anyone know him ?

I knew one of the crew, Fritz Pons, quite well back in the 1970s and took him back to Windsor Great Park. Also stayed with him at his home in Grafenhausen quite often, and attended with him the KG55 reuinions. I have photos of him and some of the crew, if that helps?
