Hi all,
It has been an early day when I got up at 04:45 local time (03:45 GMT) to catch a boat for a nice expedition.
After several cancellations over the past months we finally managed to recover the second BMW 132 engine from the Heinkel 115 floatplane we have been investigating since the first one was found by accident at the end of 2003. The aircraft crashed upon landing from a mine-laying mission in June 1940.
Within hours the engine and prop were lifted and transported back to the museum for first stage steamcleaning. The condition is better than the first one, the photo’s speak for themselves.
Full story and pic in various magazines soon hopefully.
Cheers
Cees

Are these the Firefly-parts that came from the Dutch Antilles? What are the plans for these parts?
