Hi all
in The Battle of Britain there is a shot of a formation of Heinkels flying towards the camera (yes I know there were a lot of those) but I think the one in question is just before the hangar goes up at Duxford and just before Keneth More is talking to Maggie Harvey about gas masks etc.
The question I have is what is the pod like item slung under the fuselage of the lead aircraft? Looks like a mini drop tank. Is it a camera pod for use in further filming?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
I thought I’d start an aircraft type thread as I’m sick of Douglas Bader.
The answer to that one is obvious there were two (at least) DB’s
All the best
