Heinkel Piece to Identify

This piece of aircraft wreckage was washed up on the beach at Bracklesham Bay a few years ago. It is believed to come from a Heinkel 111 that crash landed there in 1940. I am not a mechanical expert but I think it looks either undercarriage related or from something with a swivel mounting. Hopefully there are some experts out there who can make an ID for me! TIA.
