Helio Courier G-BGIX photo?

Has anyone a photo of this Courier believed to be based at Great Waltham, Essex. This is for an international enquiry. Thanks in advance, 🙂

Then how about a pointer to.. http://www.heliocourier.net (at least one thing that says helio on it…)
I met Nathan at Osh during the Helio reunion he is a very nice young man and has a nicely put together web site. A great amount of pictures and info it and he’s trying to do some sales on it as well. (bought the hat/shirt). Without pushing it he is also kind of and insperation, he has Cerebral palsy and to the best of his abillity not letting that slow him down, bottom line just a very nice person.

Cheers
Tony

p.s.
if one posts a link to http://www.helioassociation.org/ thats great, but lets have some Helio info on it otherwise it looks like just another bit of add/spam and is embarrassing as an EAA member….if your under development then I appologize and look forward to another great Helio site!!

International Helio Association

We have been in contact with Mr. Peter Lee and he indeed owns this 1400 series H-295… Those of you interested in all types of Helio’s we are the source. Please go here for more info www.vintageaircraft.org

Thanks mates,

Might be right, missed the missing propeller but noticed the distinctive P.51 nose. Does this hangar not have doors as the floor would indicate an autumn time frame

The Hangar does have doors, but were and are opened first thing in the morning. Sometimes could be a bit of a bu**er to close, so needed John Walters’ tractor to give them a bit of a push.

Think you’ll find the mess on the floor is clumps of dust based material. Took ages to sweep (when on the odd occasions it was done) and within hours again it looked the same.

In the background is a T.21 glider which I believe is the subject of another thread. Think from what I can remember it was owned by a NWFS engineer who is now at Old Warden.

Consul’s nice photo looks like it was taken in the Blister hangar at The Squadron, North Weald.

Consul’s nice photo looks like it was taken in the Blister hangar at The Squadron, North Weald as seen in the background is David Gilmour’s Mustang N51RR and Cyril Potter’s Luscombe G-YRIL. For all the years there myself, I cant personally remember it living there, but judging from the missing propeller, perhaps it was just with NWFS for its Annual.

Newforest,
I assume this is what you want. If you need a high definition copy then pm me and depending on why you need it I should be able to help.

Sorry, but had a look last night and sadly I dont have a photo of her (the Helio that is and not Mrs.Lee). Have some of Peter’s P2 and Gemini though. I know I’ve seen the aeroplane somewhere in print and think that it might have been in a copy of The Squadron magazine (hopefully I’ve kept all mine as I was the Editor for a number of years!).

Apologies,

Martin

If this is the one which was owned by Peter Lee (Gemini and P2 owner), then I might have one at home. Will check tonight and report back. From what I can remember it was white with a blue cheat line down the side.

Martin

Thanks Martin, the registered owner is Caroline Lee and I have another contact who is going to mail a photo. The other Courier on the register, ‘BAGT was initially in a blue and white scheme. 🙂
