Hellfire Verus Apache

Hi all,

With the recent publicity of the problems Britian is having with the WAH-64 and its Hellfire, is there a program to fix the new hellfires?

It seems ridiculous that operators of the Apache would issue restrictions on the use of the prime AT missile for this deadly helicopter because launcing the missile can damage the aircraft itself. It was posted earlier that the old missiles are fine, it’s the new ones that cause the problems. Sorta reminds me of a scene from ‘Yes Prime Minister’

“Oh no Prime Minister, not all the weapons are faulty, the ones built in World War Two work just fine” (or words to that effect) 😉

Another question is, why the heck havn’t the US military told the manufactures to “Fix the problem or else!”
