Help can you ID this part

Hi all
Can anyone ID this ???

27M456 “Jack Main U/C” PT.No. Air 40010/4 Date Feb 1956

I’m lead to beleive 27M is Lockheed
The only problem I have is it size at 24ish cm long seem to be too small for a main jack….

Can anyone help ???

27 code is General Aircraft Equipment. 27M is Aircraft hydraulic and undercarriage equipment (Lockheed)
