RE: Help. Civil Aviation in Scotland

There’s a couple of good books on the history of Scottish Aviation available. I don’t think they are currently in print but I’ve had them from my local library from time to time.

One is mainly about Renfrew/Abbotsinch/Sanderling/Glasgow and it’s by a writer called Dugald Cameron (I think). Can’t remember the title unfortunately right now. There’s another which takes a more general look at the history of Scottish civil aviation upto the early 1990’s and again I can’t offer more details, it’s been a few years since I borrowed them from the library.

I got them from the main library in Paisley and will pop in the next time I visit to see if they are still there to get the names and publishing info.

I’ve been planning to do some research into the Scottish aviation scene myself for ages, the intention being to produce a short film about the subject. Can’t find the time to devote to it though which is a pain.

er, no… sorry, can’t think of anything…

But there’s another couple of Scots on the board, maybe they can think of something.

Erm… I don’t actually know myself, Bhoy would probably be the right man to ask here. Sorry.
