Hi, I am trying to find an old school mate of a chap I met recently who was part of the British Occupation Forces at Hiroshima in 1945/46 he would love to know more about his old school chum. I found him listed on the CWWGC but no mention to squadron, I also could not find him in any of Chorley’s books, does anyone know what squadron and circumstances of his loss so I can report back. I know he would be chuffed with as much info as possible, maybe someone has a photo of him?? Any help appreciated.

Stirling III EF204 , 1654 HCU , RAF Wigsley ;
On Bullseye exercise and encountered severe weather conditions and flew into the ground near Barnby-in-the-Willows , Nottinghamshire . Five killed and two injured .

Hi, I was originally told he was a Mosi navi/bomb aimer, I do not have the OTU or HCU volumes which explains my lack of information. Thanks for taking the time to find the info, I will now pass this onto to Roy who I am sure will find it very interesting. Thanks again much appreciated.
