Hi
Can anyone identify the type of aircraft that this piece originates from.
It was found among trees lining the road near Plumpton Racecourse.
Thanks in advance

There was a He 111 at Wales Farm, Plumpton, and a Halifax in Great Home Wood, Chailey. The only two nearby crashes that I can think of, Gerry, although bits of the Valiant which crashed in the Southwick/Brighton area also fell to earth nearby as I found its radome at nearby Westmeston in about 1970. All I can offer at the moment!

Cheers for your replies.
I will look into the possibility that it belonged to the beech.
Unfortunately there are no markings or plates.
Cheers

Apparently a Beech C45 crashed near there in 1967… Google is your friend!

Also, on April 14th, 1939 a Sgt George William Read lost his life in Hawker Hart K4431 near Stroud Hill Farm, nearby. The part however does not seem to belong to a Hart?
