Hi All,
I am having probs with FS9. Its been running good but lately my frame rate has dropped to 3 or 4 per second. I have checked the video card etc and it performs as specs (even updated drivers) Now when I start it up I cannot get more that 3-4 mins before it just shuts down. What I probably need is to reload FS9 again but if I do that will I lose all my add-ons etc or will I get the chance to save my (very large) files that I want to keep.?
Any help would be welcome.

If you’re sure the problem lies with FS9 and not your hardware try making deleting you FS9.CFG file (make a backup first)
Next time FS9 starts all your settings will be reset to default anf FS will have built a new cfg file. Resist the urge to immedaately up the settings but run it as default for a while, then gradually change on setting at a time.
As Blue Robin also pointed out similar error occur with the scenery cfg file, you can also try making a backup and deleting the original, but bear in mind you will be disabling scenery add ons by doing this.
Hope this helps,
Bruce

What have you added on lately that caused this? 😉
Had similar a while back and edited my scenery.cfg disabling every add-on I could spot.
