A Virtual Airline is an organisation based on the internet that either follows the operations of a Real World Airline or creates their own “Airline” with routes and aircraft etc.
You sign up to a Virtual Airline to become a “pilot” with them. Once you have done this you fly an aircraft in the “Airlines” livery on one of their routes and log this on the website after you have landed. This then updates their roster with how many hours you have flown.
They are “flyins” where a bunch of members from the Virtual Airline fly on Multiplayer or on www.vatsim.net together. There can also be Real World Meetings to put faces to names.
Most Real World Airlines have, in some cases officall approved, Virtual Airline counterparts.

there is lots of ways to explain it! basically you are part or a “VIRTUAL” airline which acts in the way of a real world airline. they have rosters and different routes, most all have hubs and there own liverys! now and again these airlines get together and fly online with each other holding there own events and things. the more hours you fly the higher ranking you recieve. join up to one and give it a try as they are good fun! :p
