Help needed in identifying a seat

Guy´s,
In the stores of the Icelandic Historical Aviation Society is the seat. We have no idea where it comes from or what it fits in.
It has a very “British” feel to it, but that´s all we know. We have been unable to find any data plate or stamps on it.
Can anyone give us a clue as to what it is?

Regards,
Sigurjon

That is interesting Hindenburg! I´ll have to take more photos when I´m next in the hangar – probably late next week.

My gut feeling is a wireless operators seat…must say at first I thought..early Stirling..but got the later one and they were not on runners….what about Hastings or something like that?will the back cover remove so we can see the rear framework?

I was unable to find anything on it when the photos were taken. I´ll have to look better, as it is covered in dust.

Nice seat – looks British to me. Any numbers or stamps on the tubes?

Don’t know much about seats – but the seat-back stitching looks like my mate’s Pembroke Seat, although the framework doesn’t seem too much like his.
So I guess the style is about late 40’s early 50’s – if that helpls?
