Help needed (Please)

Hello All

I’m soon off to Paris and, while there, hope to visit the Musee de l’Air et de l’Aerospace at Le Bourget. I’m hoping to find a list of what’s there before I go, so that I can do a little boning up on things first. Can anybody help. I’ve checked the museum’s website but my French isn’t really up to it!

Le Bourget

Many thanks for the replies. All (or nearly all) were much appreciated. My wife was particularly impressed by the “bilingual girl” comment, though I’m not sure she quite understood “bilingual”.

Find a nice bilingual French girl to escort you round!

Sounds like a plan. Would you go to the museum as well? 😮

http://www.pilotfriend.com/articles/Lebourget.htm

is a small piece that will give you some idea.
Note that (like all French museums I have visited) the information inside is ONLY in French – OK for me, who has lived in France, but not so good for many other international visitors. While living there, I offered to translate the captions in some (aviation and non-aviation) museums into English, but they were just not interested, and didn’t even reply! Find a nice bilingual French girl to escort you round!

Hi Dave,

It`s a bit “round the houses” or “autour des maisons” ( sorry very bad joke )
but go onto the webpage you want to view I just done http://www.mae.org/collec_faviation.htm

which is all in French, open up a second internet explorer web page and go to http://world.altavista.com/

Its Alta vista Babel Fish translator, simply cut and past the web address where it states, and the same page comes up in good old English!

Good Luck

Jamie
