It’s not a valuable item i’m afraid. The hub is also quite rusted so unlikely to ever fly again.

Karl,

As Archer states, the early Ansons had metal (fixed-pitch) props as they were direct-drive from the engine. The later Anson engines were geared.

Just to muddy the waters even further, Canadian ones had one-piece wood props.

Hi there Martin we took the prop as part of a clearance and just trying to find out if its of use to anyone out there.

Wikipedia doesn’t always provide complete information. They mention the propellor type that was on a Mk.1. Yours is from a different subtype.

Hello there Anon, thank you for the info and after looking on google looks like you could be right but we are no experts in this type of thing. But after looking on wikipedia:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Avro_Anson prop for this aircraft its saying the prop was made of metal and ours is wooden. So a little confused

Late mark Avro Anson; probably from a Mk.19 or 21. It’s a variable pitch propeller made by Rotol.
