Hi all
a little while age we ventured upon a rather large cache of Beaufort and Beaufighter aircraft parts. While we have gone through most if not all of the material we have
we still have some unanswered questions about aircraft id’s. We were hoping someone may make some sense of the following numbers etc we have located on various
plates located on some of the larger assemblies.
152 / 929146
152 / 308
T 3229
A19-7601
FMD 1520
these are just a small sample of the type of numbers, codes or whatever they are we have found. A search of Professor Google give zip, nada.
So any feedback is most welcome
Regards

G’day detective
no mystery here, these details have been posted previously (but asking different questions) and all pics are available on our website and FB page. Not looking for numbers or visits on the pages but a google of reevers and beaufort should give you some answers.
couple more pics of what we have if that helps

…Reevers .. your initial post refers to a “rather large cache of Beaufort and Beaufighter aircraft parts”….fascinating stuff.
…Could you possibly tell us of how and where their recovery was achieved ?…. we all like a good mystery here, and this one alludes to being a ripper….but may also help with the questions being reasonably answered….Cheers

Is there a recommended publication(s) I could refer to in our research?
It appears we have 2 x Beaufighter and 2 x Beaufort to identify so a list of construction or build numbers would be most helpful.

T3229
Beaufighter 1C, in a batch of 300 Mk1 /11, T3009-3447, source Bruce Robertson British Military Serials 1969 ed.
He notes T3251-3269 were sent to Australia. I wonder if he was incorrect and T3229 went to Australia.

Sorry, my error – only the one ID marked A19/ 7601
the rest are separate but we have more as well.

Reevers: so was it 7601 not 1701, or were there 2 marked A-19?
D1566: I can’t see T3229 in the list of RAF-serialled Beaufighters on http://www.adf-serials.com.au/beaufighter.htm
Just Googling “Beaufighter T3229” gives me ditched off Lisbon or captured at Casablanca 1.5.41. Which is correct I wonder!

T3229 was an RAF Beaufighter 1c; seems to have served with 252 Squadron in North Africa.

and while uploaded the others I found these – Could the 7601 be a build or construction number?

A19 was the serial series for RAAF Beaufighters, but 1701 seems too high.
