Hi
Would anyone recognise this part that I am told is from a Me109
The nearest thing that I have found that resembles this is on the cockpit floor to the front right of the Pilots seat photo 3, would anyone know what this is used for?
Photos 1 and 2 shows the relic in question.

I think it is a flare gun port, from the right side cockpit on the inside.

I can see why you are thinking this, but it is a lot smaller, here are the sizes of the relic itself 7 inches in length x 4 inches at its widest point
Certainly looks along the lines of the cockpit floor venting in one of the images i posted , but not sure what this may of been used for, possibly drainage, heating flume etc

hard to work out the size, also is it alloy?
possibly be an MG shroud from the top engine cowel?
