Hi
Would anyone be able to help with what I believe to be some kind of radio relic, I purchased this at Newark yesterday and took a chance on it being aviation related.
It measures around 2 feet x 2 feet
Any help as always would be very much appreciated.

ha ha that did make me laugh i guess thats the gamble, not sure quite how it ended up at an aero jumble still never mind.
Certainly looked interesting though, now to look for a TV forum :highly_amused:

OK, thanks to the Vintage Radio Forum it can be identified as the chassis from a Murphy television set, similar to this one.
I suggest of no use to anyone…………

I’m afraid it looks more like a domestic television chassis. The warning about “live chassis” is a clue.

Clearly the mortal remains of the chassis of an electronic unit, but I don’t recognise what it is. The only possible use I can envisage is to measure it up if you wanted to build a faithful replica of whatever it was. Certainly not fit for re-use IMHO.
