I have been asked by a friend if I can find the whereabouts of something called LEXAN. This is required for a Vampire windscreen, must be 6mm thick and the amount required 3ft x 2ft. Any leads as to where it can be obtained would be very much appreciated
Many Thanks

Thanks to all for your replies, you have come up trumps once again. The information has been passed on. The Vampire is definitely a non flyer it’s not in very good condition and is being spruced up so people can sit in it. The windscreen has fogged over and this is why the Lexan is required. Thanks again all.

Think you`ll find the w/s is armoured glass….Lexan may be okay for a museum ,or cockpit section only, not a flyer..

Just go on ebay look for the likes of
Then ask them for the size you want.

That’s terribly thin for a Vampire screen. Should be about 50mm 😉

If Ritch & Max can’t help I get my Lexan from Trent Plastics (just Google the name).
They supply any thickness, cut to size. Postage is reasonable too.

Hi
Lexan is just one of many trade names for polycarbonate sheet. If you contact any plastics supplier they should be able to supply your needs quite cheaply.
If you are anyware near to Leicester, we may even have what you need in our workshop, if you can collect it.
Ritch.
