Just wanted to give a special thanks to Lee Howard for working so effectively with me on the decals and supplying the design work for XS186, absolutely superb job Lee, thankyou very much !

Once the dayglo sections are finished and the decals are on i’ll post pictures of the results. Thanks to the other guys who responded for their help / advice too.

We know the dimensions, it’s just the labour time involved in painting the digits that’s the problem, several hours of enjoyable but painstaking work is what we have’nt got.
Saturdays is our only day available as i’m sure many of us suffer from.

Is the font is available to those with the facility available to print ?

I could ask the painters at my unit if you want, they should have the AP to hand…..

Try Gray’s Aero – they currently do BA’s airliners, emirates, etc. As soon as we get our JP’s in the hangar, we are going to get Grays to produce a full set of masks. They do normal paint masks or polyurathane stickers. They seem very keen on classic aircraft….:D

Regarding fonts, I don’t know if these would be of any help.

Hi

Does anyone now of a supplier for accurate RAF serial decals, or what font they are (standard 8 inch high fuselage type) ?

We have painted the tail code on our JP XS186, but time limitations with electrical / hydraulic work ongoing means we have to look at what other options are out there.
Our local graphics company can’t find the font ?
