I have just acquired this three way gauge, advertised as P-51.
I am trying to find out the connections to the 4 pin socket for the temperature indicator. We don`t have the sender, but that isn`t a problem once I am able to test the instrument.
Type AN5773-1A
Also has a RAF Stores Ref 6A/10290
It`s for the Griffon engined powerboat “Miss Canada IV”.

Manual is AN 05-75AA-2( for auto lite manuf). Correct bulb is AN5225. Positive earth.
Pins as follows:
A to earth for 24V operation
B to bulb
C to bulb and negative power supply
D to earth for 12V operation.
To test substitute decade resistance for bulb.
72.24 ohms= -50Degrees C
90.38 ohms= 0 degrees C
128.85 ohms = 100 degrees C
151.91 ohms =150 degrees C.

Hi Pete,
Acording to an Interchangeability manual I have that paticular gauge was fitted to P38L,P63, Rotaries R4B,R5A and R6A. I hope this helps.
