Evening All,
I am about to launch the first in a range of radio control kits/plan packs. The first subject is the Druine/Rollason Turbulent.
I wish to photograph one in detail for ref material for modellers that maybe interested in adding additional detail.
Would any one know of any examples or owners that operate such a machine and would not mind having it photographed. They would receive a modest payment for allowing access.
I know that the Tiger Club operates a fair few but its a three hour drive for me and I am hoping for something a little nearer if possible.
Regards Martin

Hi, I own a Turbulent on a farm strip in north Somerset, if that is any good for you I’d be happy to show you around it. Fly it frewuently so might be able to fly into somewhere nearer if need be.
Cheers
I’d take him up on that, if I were you. Alternatively there is a Turbi at East Fortune in Scotland if you want a drive. I’m sure if you contact the staff in advance they’ll let you get access to it. Good excuse to get a look there.

Oh well it was worth a try. I suppose a look at G-INFO on the CAA website will give you the addresses of all the Turbulents on the register. That might give a clue to where they are based.

Appreciate the help Ozplane. I need full access for scale detail and as you said is rather lofty in its location which rules that one.

There’s one just up the road from you in the Midland Air Museum. I’m not sure that it ever flew but it was complete last time I saw it. It’s mounted on an internal roof so you might need a ladder of some sort.
