Help to identify propellers

Hi All, I have recently obtained a few wooden propellers and wondering if anybody can help to identify them. Thay came from a musem that closed down and were supposed to be from an early Spit and a Lanc. I know that they all claim to be from these legendary aircraft but can somebody shed some light onto what they could be from? I cant seem to find any markings stamped into them. http://i1365.photobucket.com/albums/r758/saudiboyrick/20150316_120112_z…]

Is there anything carved into the base at the root end (the red bit below)?

Sometimes you can find the drawing number there. Otherwise they appear to be right handed Weybridge, Rotol blades.

If 6 foot tall then not Spitfire – they’d hit the ground! If really that long then maybe early 3-blade Firefly (13 foot total diameter)

Hi, Yes, images 1 and 3 are the same as I had a bit of trouble loading the images and then deleted them all, 2nd attempt gave me 2 of the same and I didn’t want to have to go through it again. Apologies for that. The problem is that the blades are at my home in the UK and I am back at work in Saudi. They about 4 inches taller than me, hence guessing at 6′ at least
Below should be the image of the other one which is damaged.

I don’t like to seem picky but..

It looks to me like image one and image three are the same blade.

Haven’t you got a tape measure or steel rule?

No numbers that I could see. They stand around 6′ tall I would say. I have another as well that looks older as it has what looks like a crudely riveted leading edge copper looking strip but about the same length. I’m guessing the ‘B’ is relating to a balance weight? Thanks

I would go Spitfire too, a bit long for Seafire blade by the look.
Any numbers on the Jablo (black covering) around the letter “B” ?

Unlikely to be Lancaster, as these are Rotol blades. Spitfire possibly. How long are they?
