To explain the situation, I have an area on my website called the airline information database. Basically it has the two codes, callsigns and other info for different airlines which you can search etc.
Problem is that I’ve kinda neglected it for a while and now its in need of a serious update!
If anyone can list any of the changes of airline name, codes or callsigns, new airlines or airlines that have dissappeared, say this year then it would be a great help. I’ve added most of the UK changes but other parts of the world are a little more difficult. You can check if they’ve already been altered here:
http://www.plane-mad.com/airline_info.php
Anyone who helps will get a thank you on the first page of the databse.
Thanks in Advance

RE: Help Wanted Please
There was a link mentioned earlierer: http://fly.to/aviationonline .
Well, that is a nice page, but a little bit outdated and really needs an update.
@Dan330: I’ve visit your page and didn’t found the LGW which is the Luftfahrtgesellschaft Walter mbH. Callsign: Walter. 2-Letter-Code: HE.

I concurr, wysiwyg. The words ‘baby’ and ‘lite’ have absolutely no business being included in airline names, EVER!

RE: Help Wanted Please
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 16-08-02 AT 10:16Â AM (GMT)]EuroManx used to be the callsign for Manx flights that travelled out of the UK. And manx flights that stay in the UK use manx as theie callsign. I some of them on the callsign list are old and out of date, but I wasn’t sure if Dan would want the old callsigns for some of the airlines…Didn’t know if he was gonna do a bit of History on the airline.
By: mongu - 15th August 2002 at 22:47
RE: Help Wanted Please
I don’t know what the Manx callsign is now. BA domestically use “shuttle” or “speedbird” I think. It will no longer be “manx”.
Euromanx is a new airline, totally separtate from the old Manx Airlines which is now part of BA CitiExpress.
By: wysiwyg - 15th August 2002 at 22:32
RE: Help Wanted Please
Also –
Manx just use ‘Manx’ not Euromanx
and ‘Reach’ is used by aircraft transporting for the American military.

RE: Help Wanted Please
Gibair must have been their old callsign. Because they did use it at one time.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 15-08-02 AT 10:27Â PM (GMT)]GB Airways use ‘GeeBee’ not ‘Gibair’ and Excel use ‘Expo’ rather than ‘Excel’.
