Help! with a painting

Some months ago I purchased a superb painting of a B.17 with the nose art
depicting a scantily clad female and named “Incendiary Blonde”. This painting shows the crew arriving at the aircraft in a 4 x 4 Willy’s Jeep. Painted by a “S.R.Pepper ’92”

However, I can see no Serial Number or other identification on this aircraft.

The nose guns are very similar to the ones fitted to 42-30783 of the 390BG
(The Stork Club) viz single 50 cal in upper nose and a 50 cal on each cheek.

Could this have been either a B.17F or a B17G with chin turret removed?

If anyone can help with its identification I would be most appreciative.

So far I have drawn a “Blank”

Thank you
dakota

Try the Historic page for all things historic aviation related…. just like it says on the tin.
