Thanks for that, I have borrowed a set of Avdel pliers as well now, so I will ring Nev today and sort things with him.

Spoke to mic elliot from hha yesterday at brunty and then to nev whilst he was having a cuppa, mic says to let him know what rivets are required as he’ll be happy to help an old mate out

Yep it’s Nev, he rang me last night to see if we could help him out. I may be able to get hold of a full set of Avdel pliers, so that’s a good start, but it’s rivets he is very short of now. And as you say, he want’s to be able to get it signed off.

Itll be nev as ive lent him my rivet grip pins for same job and i gave him what i had in avdels, they are using the correct gnat repair manual hence the need for correct rivets so that any inspector would have no probs signing off the work

Just looked at your post again, wouldn’t happen to be an oldish chap, I forget his name but he helped me out with a hunter tailplane?

I don’t have a gun but pretty much everything else, I do you use the kit now and then so is it a big job they are doing?

Thanks for that, and no we don’t have any kit at all!! It was all lent out in good faith a few years back and never returned, so he needs anything he can lay his hands on.
