Help with ID

This is a part that was included in the B 25 spares container that we have at the Museum. I figure it’s some sort of starter as it has a reduction gear and what appears to be an engaging spline. We’re not even sure that it’s an aircraft part as when the hulk and parts of the a/c were picked up the crew literally cleaned out the chicken coop of stuff.
