Help with markings on WW2 German Ace Walter Wolfrum's BF109 please

After some research came to light I have discovered that my airworthy Jodel D11a was built nearly 60 years ago by WW2 German ace Walter Wolfrum, to mark her 60th birthday we hope to fly her back to his home airfield at Schwbach in Germany as they are planning a memorial to him and we thought it would be good to “take her home” I have found plenty of information about him, the info below being the Wiki listing but what I can’t find out is the relevance of the name/word painted on the port fuselage under the canopy, it is “Quex”, does anyone know what this means? If not insensitive then it might be nice to add this to the Jodel as a mark of respect. It is also a great coincidence that we repainted the Jodel red and white a few years ago and can now see that his 109 had a red and white spinner!!

Here is a link to a profile pic of his 109,

Walter Wolfrum (23 May 1923, Schmölz, Küps, Germany – 26 August 2010, Schwabach) was a German World War II fighter ace who served in the Luftwaffe from February 1943 until the end of the war. He is credited with 137 aerial victories—that is, 137 aerial combat encounters resulting in the destruction of the enemy aircraft. This ties him for 43rd place among highest scoring fighter aces. He was also a recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross (German: Ritterkreuz des Eisernen Kreuzes). The Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership.
On 1 June 1944, Wolfrum was credited with his 100th aerial victory. He was the 74th Luftwaffe pilot to achieve the century mark.[1] After the war he became a successful aerobatics pilot, winning the German Championship in 1962 and taking second place in 1961, 1963, 1964 and 1966.

That’s brilliant, thank you, do you know by any chance what it means or stands for? I also wonder how the best way to pronounce it would be?

Quex was the nickname of his girlfriend at the time.
