Can someone please tell me how to post pics on the forum. I tried once this morning, but there were too many bytes in the photo. I decreased the size of the photo and tried again, but still the same problem. Is there a way to decrease the number of bytes? My photos are not as big as some in the “I Want To See Your Face” topic.

Avatars.
Quite a few of you guys have cool avatars of aircraft and the likes and I was wondering where you got images small enough to be accepted. 🙂 Any help would be appreciated.

sorry Comet, didn’t read your post properly, bytes means that the file size is too big. Using ArcSoft when you save a jpg do you get the option of changing the quality? Graphics software usually base quality on %age or 1 to 10 I would go for a 2 or 3 (20% to 30%) that should be fine for most web images.
What is the file size of your image? Perhaps you could ask the webmaster to increase the allowable uploading size a bit.

Thanks Simmer. The message said there were too many bytes, I don’t know if it meant pixels or not. My photo was jpeg and my photo software is ArcSoft PhotoImpression, which came with my Epson scanner.

Comet
Do you mean big in file size or pixel size? If its a jpg then try reducing the quality a bit. What graphics software have you got?
