Not Aviation related but can you help!
Can you point me in the right Direction?
What is this Medal, why was it awarded and is there a way of finding out the recipient of the medal
In the second picture the numbers 128 are to be seen stamped into the ring attached to the medal will this help.

If I remember correctly the medal was not worn, only the ribbon and usually through a button hole on the tunic.

Yes, Iron Cross 2nd Class, or EKII. The number 128 indicates the maker, in this case S.Jablonski GmbH of Posen.

If the loop has a number on it this site http://www.wehrmacht-awards.com/iron_cross/ironcrossmain.htm may tell you who made it.

i’m no real expert, but that’s either an Iron cross 2nd class, or the dangly bit of a knights cross… 2nd world war though for sure, & german…
