Could someone please let me know how I’d go about finding out whether I’d be any use to anyone at the CWJ at Bruntingthorpe.
I’m not ex-RAF or anything but now I’ve been priced out of motorsport I have at least one day a week (weekend) where I need to be doing something.
Went to the much mentioned recent event at Bruntingthorpe and spent a fair bit of time looking over the static aircraft.
Definitely something I could dedicate some time and effort to.
Thanks folks.

battle still being worked on, you have not missed anything. Fuselage tubing and bracketry being manufactured. Only ever gonna be a static.
Method Man, all of our stuff is undercover and will fly (apart from the Battle that is).
come and have a chat with us and see what you reckon

Beech Restorations has the coolest logo!
Seriously though, volunteering with Beech Restorations has to be the wisest choice i’ve made – i’ve been made very welcome, both when I started and when I returned after away for a year and a half of University, and learnt a heck of a lot

Sea vixen or Bucc
If it’s the vixen or bucc your interested in helping out with, then PM myself as i’ll pass it on to Guy Hulme the owner of xx894 he’s usually down there every 2 weeks and generally carries out anti-det ground runs every month when they are not maxed out with xx894 they are usually found assisting with xw544 in its continued return to operational condition
the sea vixen is on the verge of ground runs but need work on the hydraulic systems
there is also the f-104 starfighter which glyn works on he is usually to be found removing corrosion on the starfighter at least once a weekend
we generally all retire to a static caravan on the otherside of the field for a brew
generally most of the BAH collection (ie David Waltons aircraft) get worked on during sundays with the remainder on a saturday
the LPG usually float around all weekend doing various thing but mainly on their shed at the moment
As usual the level of activity is weather dependant and can be almost nothing on a rainy day but their are some die hards around at most times
Hope this helps
