Maybe someone who knows can tell me, who will fund Hendon now it has gone free entry?

RE: Hendon free entry (Reality check)
When it comes to the RAF museum, BBMF etc, the only ones who dont care are the ones funding it. Ask Paul Day if the MOD funds BBMF obligingly.
They were set up in a previous generation by those who did care.
Its a fact, most MOD accountants would happily slash the BBMF. Did the army flight ever recover? I know the RN flight has to fund itself.

Re
The government does NOT have any money whatsoever.
It’s OUR money Goddammit!
Check your wage slip, you’ll see a huge chunk of your pay disappearing to fund single mothers and their offspring, buy more GATSO cameras, pay for Cherie Blair to wear ludicrous psuedo-Indian fancy dress on her world jaunts with ‘our’ Tony.
Remember this, always

Hendon can have all my tax money, then I’d smile whilst handing it over.

RE: Hendon free entry
Erm – are they the same people who keep the BBMF ,Red Arrows and various other parts of the services going. After all it was these people who created the RAFM and sent Hercules all round the world looking for exhibits!

Those tight fisted autocrats want keeping as far away as possible. They couldnt care less about their heritage.

RE: Hendon free entry
Apparently the MOD will be funding Hendon out of their normal allocated funds.
And in my book that means the MOD will now have even more influence over the RAFM than they did before, don’t know if it is a bad thing or not though ????????????

Oh goody, maybe now they’ll speed up that Hampden, let poor S-Sugar down off her silly perch, and fix up that rusty old bomber, eh Halibag mate?!

RE: Hendon free entry
The government has allocated £28 million to pay for the scheme which covers the national museums.

RE: Hendon free entry
The free entry scheme is a nationwide government scheme to allow free entry to many national museums, both aviation related and otherwise.I can only presume that the difference will be covered from the government’s own funds.
