What’s the name / location of the best pub to spend lunchtime at when visiting the RAFM?

Looks like I’ll have bite at the Greyhound then. 😉
Or a doughnut at the Ring?
Report will follow.

Just remembered it’s called the Greyhound. Rather appropriate as it’s on Greyhound Hill.

Oh yes, I second that. Very nice pub…for London anyway. The Claddagh Ring’s not bad but I was violently sick all over one of their toilets one night and have been a bit shy about showing my face in there ever since.

If you go down Aerorome Road and past the training school. Cross over the lights and go up the hill and on the corner of the bend you will find a really nice pu (forgot the name) It has hanging baskets outside and has some old pics of the airfield. Also Chequers fifty yards round the bend or the Claddagh Ring, another fifty.
All good pubs, the first one is the best I think.

I used to go to the Firkin actually in Hendon and not Mill Hill/Colindale where the Museum is. Real beer and acceptable food. Saddly, as far as I know, the Firkin chain was bought over and they stopped all their micro brewery shenanigans (Boo-Hiss). No idea what it’s like now.

Last time I ate there, I think it DID come out of the gutter outside!
They never did reply to my email about the food quality, either. 😡

Ant, whilst your comment may be the truth I fear it does not answer Moggy’s query

I think the general consensus was that eating something out of the gutter outside the museum was better than eating in it! 😀

You’ve not all gone teetotal on me have you?
