Here we go again

ANKARA [MENL] — Turkey, blocked by military opposition, has been examining the revision of a tender for a new attack helicopter.

Officials said the Defense Industry Undersecretariat, or SSM, has been mulling the cancellation or revision of the attack helicopter tender in wake of opposition by the General Staff. They said the military objects to the selection of either of the finalists in the competition.

“There is a stalemate between the military and government over concluding the tender,” an official said. “Changes will have to be made soon.”

On Tuesday, Turkey’s Defense Industry Executive Committee had been scheduled to convene to discuss the attack helicopter and other military procurement projects. The meeting was canceled when committee chairman Prime Minister Recep Erdogan was hospitalized for exhaustion.

Hmm. Some of those films listed have been quite good, so there is a slight chance this may happen….

At least the poducer Graham king (OBE) is British, and also has a decent CV

This may not be too bad, if it happens.

Cheers

As long as Britain win, I could not care how the CGI is or what the hotel is called. :p

Surely by the time Hollywood gets involved, it will the Battle of England, and the Americans will be winning it for us?

(apologies, but I’m in a right old cynical mood this week.)

BoB Film

Ah well Kenley is still available so no cgi required there, and if they get a move on the Officers Mess and the NAAFI (as per RFTS) could be used.
This could be the third BOB film made there; and quite in order as an important 11 Group sector station.

But are they going to change the name of Douglas Bader’s dog? :p

Yes, they’re going to name it Tin-Tin after his legs 🙂

Tony Scott is in the frame to direct “Hells Angels” , before you get excited it is a biopic about Hells Angels (as in motorbike gang) leader Sonny Barger

Is it true that a remake of ‘Hell’s Angels’ is planned?

It won’t be very improving on the original script since, seriously, it was not that good. It’s more down to getting that CGI right. I’m all for it, as much as I love BoB, it feels dated.

Hello,

Theres a bit more here:

http://www.deadline.com/2011/10/gk-films-plans-wwii-battle-of-britain/

GK Films do actually appear to make films, and it does not appear to be anything to do with “finest Hour”

Cheers

Interesting. But could this possibly be a reincarnation of the recently failed attempts to get a re-make of the film underway by an organisation in Kent called “Their Finest Hour”? That company folded, I believe, and I think it was discussed here.

Unfortunately, it seems that it is not possible to view the full transcipt of the article on the link unless one subsribes to the website.
