It was a good day at Metheringham yesterday, as well as the Reds giving us the flypast, we had a few interesting guys drop in, including the team who are restoring the Tempest nearby, and (just to make some of the XS186 crew who had literally just left curse!), a Canberra jockey from the Air Atlantique team.
I was pleased as punch to see he was as mad as the rest of us about keeping these old birds alive, an obviously very passionate and knowledgable guy, a decent day at Methy and the weather held too, what’s going on!

Heritage open days
not 100% sure but i think the Lanc will be flying over most of these events . plus wickenby and a few more . i did only glance at some Notams yesterday
so dont take it as gospel.
Red Arrows passed over Metheringham airfield today, presume on their way to Duxford. Not on the direct route so could have been a flypast. Saw them later to the south returning to Scampton.

There is also an open day at the Science Museum’s store in Wroughton near Swindon. They call it Science Museum Swindon now!
They plan to open this site to the public in 2010, I beileve this was mentioned before on this forum.
