Heyward Compressor Cover – What Aircraft?

I’ve had this for years and always wondered what aircraft it was fitted to.

The silver paint has some red overspray on it. My guess was Handley-Page Hastings, only because of the silver paint, but that may just be wishful thinking.

Probably a smaller aircraft if this sticks-out into the airflow? It may not even be from a British aircraft.
