HHA's Buccaneer XX885

Does anyone have any news on HHA’s Buccaneer at Scampton? Is she any closer to flying again or has work stopped on here since the MOD contracts came along? What work is actually required to get her flying again?

buccsociety – do you know what work needs to be done before she’ll fly again? It’s a shame that they dont have a commercial use for her like they do with the hunters – That might help speed things up!

That’ is likely to be what sees her flying again.

I doubt you will see her flying any time soon. I think you will find that she is not top of the priority list right now, since the mod contracts take precedence, they bring in the money.

Thats a shame, when news first came out that she was going to fly again, I thought it was almost immanent, but that was some time ago, and little has changed. When I last looked at the aircraft the guys told me it didn’t need much work doing to it. !hat was long before the announcement that the CAA would allow it to fly!
