ok sorry.my mistake.Thanks
Do you know of anymore long haul routes starting from GVA?

No no no.. I’m sure they won’t withdraw it. The point that I was trying to make was that if a route wasn’t popular i.e. seats regularly not being filled and money not being made, then there is little point in an airline operating that particular flight.
You couldn’t believe that the BOS-MAN route was as popular as it obviously is, so I simply said that if it wasn’t popular, there would little point in the airline flying it.

American might withdraw it.
Why might american withdraw it?

Why on earth would an airline offer flights to unpopular destinations? I’m sure that if this particular route wasn’t performing brilliantly, American might withdraw it.

sorry i just didnt think that the route would be THAT popular.
thanks
its a shame id love GVA to get longer haul even with other airlines.

i meen go to aa.com and type like going to/from BOS – MAN 23RD JUNE AND MAN – BOS 29TH JUNE.You will see the flights first one will be boston – manchester.Click on view seats .there cant be just them seats left
Surely we can’t expect airlines to have a flight almost sold out a few days prior to departure. :diablo: What is this madness? 😮

All A340’s based @ ZRH, and ZRH is LX’s prime hub, will only see more long hauls from GVA, if Lufthansa see it economically viable

Hi A330-200 and welcome to the forum.
I’ve had a look at aa.com and it looks like you are right and there are very few seats still available.
Bear in mind that we are talking about departure only a few days away, on a busy route operated by relatively small aircraft, at the beginning of the summer (busy) period. Add to that the airline won’t offer all seats as available to reserve via the website.
Hope you have a good trip to the UK if it goes ahead.
1L.

Are you saying that a flight departing in 3 days is almost totally full and you’re surprised by that? Let’s face it, the aircraft operating both the flights you mention is a 757 (not something larger like a 767, 747 or 777 that you might normally associate with transatlantic air travel) and like I said, the departure date is just 3 days away.
If you search for another flight, perhaps a month or more away, I’m sure you’ll find a few more empty seats.
