Highest Uk landing Fee?

I was amazed to see the cost of flying in to the Air Tattoo at Fairford in July
Landing fees for light aircraft start at around £250. !!!!!!!!!!
Is this the highest fee in the uk?

Re. exorbitant landing fees

Speaking as a British Citizen now residing in one of the former colonies where there is plenty of sunshine, they speak (English (of sorts) aeroplanes are plentiful and very few airports charge anything – maybe it’s time for a revolution?

Damn’, I forgot – they took away all your guns long ago….

I flew into Fairford RIAT last year, and I have to be honest, for the hospitality that I recieved for the £250 it was well worth it. My aircraft
(XX554) was static displayed, I was given the full VIP treatment on the base, as soon as the chocks were put under my wheels on the ‘line’ I had a can of cold beer thrust into my hands, I was ferried by minibus anywhere on the base with the exception to restricted areas of course.

Having decided to rough it off of base at night on a campsite some four miles down the road, I was also ferried back and forth between that! I was even invited on the Sunday evening to the hangar dance/buffet.

I would say that it was £250 well spent and I am doing the very same this year. 😀

I think the Gatwick landing fee is fairly high. Wouldnt be surprised if it’s £200+ for a light single.

Most I paid was £128 at Schiphol for a Warrior about 5 years ago. Luckily it was split four ways amongst the occupants. The taxi ride into town was almost as eye-watering, about £35-40 😮 Apparently we should have gone to Lelystad and got the train in.

I paid £73.32 for a Jet Provost landing at Norwich a year ago. It was worth every penny.

Moggy: Is there any truth in the rumour that my picture is on the wall there, or am I fantasising? Or did it get put up and then ripped down?

Not in the same league, but Norwich now charges a minimum of £35, even for a fluttery ragwing.

I mean Norwich for crying out loud!
