Hispano HA-112 Buchon Info Sought

I am looking to produce an R/C scale plan for the Buchon. I am however struggling to find any scale drawings to use as a basis for my design.

Has anybody got any accurate scale plans of the Buchon or perhaps even just drawings of the engine area including sections.

Many thanks in advance

Martin

Not accurate, unfortunately.

Found this 3-view the other night and remembered this thread. Does this help?

Occasionally you can find the Academy/Hobbycraft 1/48th Buchon on eBay. It’s a nice kit, goes together well, and looks great when finished.

Even rarer than that, however, is the Hobbycraft “Civilschmitt” version, which comes complete with Battle of Britain movie decals! 🙂

Many thanks for the above comments.

I have been told that the IPMS magazine had some scale drawings in the 1990’s and still looking for those. Failing that I’m trying a set if contour gauges on the kit rather than cutting it up. If it works cheaper than the resin nose set which is another option.

Hi Martin,

I too have considered drawing up a plan for a large scale Buchon but the lack of accurate drawings has been a stumbling block. Possibly you could use one of the resin conversion kits for plastic models as a resource for generating the necessary sections of the nose? Good luck with your search.

Hi Martin

See if you can find a copy of a this Monograph, you occasionally find them on ebay.

Also Flypast produced an excellent cutaway drawing some years ago.

As far as I’m aware no one has produced a set of plans specifically for the Buchon.

BTW, What scale will the model be.

All the best

Gary

Much of it would be the same as the Bf109 it was based on, I expect…

I’ll check my files but I think I have a 1960s Spanish article about the Buchon. There may not be any scale drawings but theres plenty of close photos to copy off.
If I forget send a reminder email via my website below as I’m away from home right now.

One of my next scale model projects will be a 1/48th scale Buchon. If you want the instructions as a reference (colour schemes etc), you’re welcome to them once I’m finished it.
