Had an amazing find over the weekend – my girlfriend’s grandfather’s RAF photo albums. He was stationed in Singapore and India with 60(B) squadron pre-WWII and in Malta during the conflict.
From what I’ve seen so far there are some awesome pictures. Westland Wapitis, Vickers Valencias, Hawker Horsleys and all manner of flying boats – Southamptons, Singapores.
There are some pictures of German bomb damage at Luqa in Malta which caught my eye too.
I don’t have access to a scanner at the moment, but as soon as I do I’ll post em up here. Fascinating stuff.

Might be a month or so before I get them scanned – the owners are very keen to get them put onto computer though. The albums themselves are somewhat tatty and damaged, but nonetheless beautiful and hand annotated.
