The Avenger was definately at Legends in 1994, but not 1998 and it has never been to a RIAT show before, nor I don’t think has any Skyraider?
Last time I saw the French Avenger was when I was at Duxford with Dan Griffith, Dan was flying Tony HT’s Avenger in formation with a Dutch owned PBY Cat & the French Avenger, as I remember it, the PBY nearly stuck Dan into the ground as he lowered the tip floats there by reducing airspeed & loosing height in a turn, Dan was at the bottom of the stack with only one place to go so firewalled the throttle & got out of there a bit quick! (the PBY cat did not fly formation again that weekend!)
I thought it was later than 94 though. :confused:

As said before, these are nice shots! The Avenger F-AZJA seems to have a busy season. I’ve seen it at several shows in France. She does attend much events and its good to see such a type often at shows.

The Avenger was definately at Legends 98. Check out Red Admiral’s video, it flew in formation with the Catalina.

The woman in the Avenger was one I also saw in the cockpit of John Bradshaw’s Sea Fury at RIAT last year, I think… Hmmm. Blonde who collects pilots?

She has also been to Legends more recently i am not sure if it was 1997 or 1998 i am tending to think 1997 though.

It’s good to see the AMPAA Avenger back, its a shame she couldn’t make it to Legends. The last time it was in the UK was, I think, Legends 1998, but it may have been at RIAT last year along with Didier Chable’s Skyraider (which has sadly gone Stateside apparently 🙁 )
