was the Tornado seen as a pan-european soln to the problem of
all-weather, DPSA role , A2G situation vs warsaw pact i.e. match
with the limited nos of F-111 ?
when and why did the air defence variant emerge ? the airframe
doesnt look like something people would choose for a fighter ….
….was purchasing of F-16 or F-15 considered by Uk, germany
and Italy ever ? Inspite of its limitations wrt the F15 why has it
survived so long ?
isnt the F15C able to eat it for lunch in all regimes – I mean better airframe, manouver, speed, radar etc ?
