Did anyone go to Nellis over the weekend?
One of the chaps on an Fs forum I use went.He lives in Vegas.
They were standing behing a posse of old boys on the flight line and his young son(he’s 4) couldn’t see the T-Birds ground segment of their display,so one of the old gents let the lad stand infront of him to watch.
When a Sea Fury taxied past hading out to display,the old gent announced he’d flown one years ago.
Our man asked where.The reply was “Korea,I was in Ocean,my name’s Peter(handshake)”
Could it have been the great Peter”Hoagy”Carmichael I wonder?
