Holiday book suggestions

Hello

I am about to go on holiday and i would like some suggestions for reading material please. I have enjoyed-

I flew for the Fuhrer
Fighter boys
Band of brothers
Pegasus bridge
First light
Spirit of britain first
The whole nine yards

paper backs would be best, fighter rather than bomber based, Is there a suitable book about the bearing run mosquitos?

Thanks in advance

A Willingness to die – Brian Kingcombe

A Real Good War, the spellbinding novel of men in aerial combat will be compared to “Twelve O’Clock High”. “The War Lover” and “Memphis Belle.” It will not suffer from the comparison. San Antonio Express

. I would also suggest “The Big Show” by Pierre Closterman (an old book but recently re-published).

As “TBS” has already gone, may I suggest “The Last Enemy” by Richard Hillary?

I’ll back Moggy’s suggestion here, “Under an English Heaven” is a superb book and well worth reading. I would also suggest “The Big Show” by Pierre Closterman (an old book but recently re-published).

Under an English Heaven – Robert Radcliffe

Superb 8th AF / East Anglia fiction. Beautifully written, well researched and very moving. A great book.

If you can find it, and if you don’t mind ‘civvies’ too much, try The Cannibal Queen by Stephen Coonts, in which the well-known author jollies about in his Stearman all over the lower 48 in the U.S. of A.
He also recounts some of his time as a Navy pilot, flying A-6’s in S.E.Asia. An interesting read.
