When I was there, I don’t think that was finished. They’ve done that without extending the terminal! 😮 😮

They used to have 4 stands but now they have extended the ramp significantly. There is a night curfew to avoid disturbing the turtles laying their eggs on the beach!

Ah right.

Green – Im not particularly bothered about the airport, its what the islands like that matters!

The pic taken from the beach is about the same distance from the aircraft that I was from my apartments. I had a balcony with a view just like that of the landing aircraft, just without the beach. 😉

First went when I was 2 and a half!! At least the airports in Cyprus are capable of holding several planeloads, unlike Zakynthos!!

Hey, Don’t get your hopes up about planes going over eveyr ten seconds 😛 Zakynthos isn’t that busy an airport – only two stands I believe….someone correct me, Wys; Moondance?

I was only joking about every 10 seconds…. I read somewhere between 10 and 20 arrivals on good days, Im sure its got more than two stands, according to the First Choice Brochure there are four FCA flights on the ground at once, and I have read on other websites the hell of having 3 or 4 flights on the ground at once. It has only got 1 baggage belt though!

Great news Tom. That makes two of us flying with FCA this year. Im off to Malta with them at the end of the month. Wishing for a flight on one of the 2 767s they have left, but not likely on a flight to malta. More likely to be a 320, or 321… which dosent bother me in the slightest… as long as i get a window seat im happy. 😀 Luqa airport to me looks to offer alot of rare russian birds from time to time and a few bits from Africa.

Well apparantly Zante airport has a night curfew, all the reviews Ive read of where I am staying are absolutely brilliant, with people saying either the planes didnt bother them, or that they found them very interesting.

I of course would love them going over ever 10 seconds!

Most would hate the closeness of your hotel to the airport. I expect the noise would drive most people mad, but us lot absolutely love it!

And with your attempt at making us jealous… I think its safe to say that you’ve succeeded! You’re in for a great trip. 🙂
