Are any of you planning to go away on holiday before the year is out? If so where to? I was supposed to be going out to Ibiza with a mate of mind, but I had to change my mind before booking the holiday, as I couldn’t get the time off of work 🙁 Oh well!

dcfly – Yep, there are Libyan flights but I’m not sure when. As the airport is open 24hrs they get a lot of night flights, so it my be quiet at times.
Another good tour company to Malta are Malta Direct Travel (something like that), its n Air Mlta company that obviously specialise in Malta. Malta’s a great place, sure you’ll have a good time.

RE: Holidays.
My Family are planning to go to Malta sometime next year. Going with a tour operator called Mercury Direct. They only do holidays to Malta, OZ, Mauritius and Cyprus.
They do flights with BA and Air Malta. No supplements on any off the flights, which is very good I think. 🙂

Wow! you’ve certainly painted a pretty picture there Saab. I’m not quite sure where we’re staying, somebody else is making the arrangements, but I think it’s just outside Valetta, and I can tell you it can’t come quick enough for me.

Where you staying dcfly?I was in Malta last year. Its a beautiful island full of history. The people are friendly and the food is excellent (try the rabbit yumm!)
The airport itself is modern and bright. The departures hall has good views of the tarmac and has views over the stands. There is an selection of shops and cafes also.
On arrival you have a nice pattern around the island.Descending over Gozo, across the east coast over Valetta and then out to see and coming round over a large port, quite impressive.

RE: Holidays.
Not going anywhere before xmas, but I’m looking at going to Lanzarote in January sometime. Looking at the hotel I want to stay at though and it will probably cost me about £600 for a week so I’ll have to see!
dcfly – Airport in Malta is great, newly built in the early 90’s I think. Looks good, fully air conditioned and one of the better holiday airports I’ve flown into. They have some interesting stuff in there from Russia and the Middle East but expect to see plenty of Air Malta!
