a) It’s a May Saturday and the subject of catering is more relevant, fun and probably in my opinion at least, more interesting thn moronic postings, angling at getting the argument across that poor Uncle Adolf and his friends were misunderstood and they were just on a jolly global trading mission, thirty years in advance of the EU.
b) I’ve had enough of ‘nobber’ spreading his poison in a none debate.

Notwithstanding Andy’s comments, with which I am sympathy, bring some proper evidence to the table and then there might be a discussion. All we have are newspaper articles, one of which is from 1936 anyway. And none of the questons you have been asked have you deigned to answer. One way traffic so far.
I’ll be back later to see if this thread has gone anywhere. I have my doubts. It doesn’t deserve to anyway.

Apart from the sort of claptrap in the linked articles what else does the OP believe? I would like to hear more to try to understand what lies behind this sort of moronic posting.

Last night, the more that I thought of this thread, the angrier I became, but at me for allowing myself to be sucked into treating as acceptable an example of the “attributes,” for which our gutter journalists are justly (in)famous. That creature is displaying the usual utter contempt, and lack of compassion, for ordinary people that we’ve come to expect in today’s press.
The tape is anti-Semitism, at its most evil, because it is insidious, and crafty, inviting us to play with numbers, and forget about the slaughter, torture and starvation meted out to so many. “It wasn’t 6 million,” we’re invited to believe; oh, well if it was “only” 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 million that makes it alright, then. I suggest that the perpetrator and his (hopefully simply misguided) backer walk out into Wembley Stadium, today, look at the crowd of men, women, and children, imagine them being asphyxiated by a cloud of gas, burnt by flamethrowers, and the ashes swept out with the other rubbish, while the stadium refills with the makings of the next “bonfire.” Then do it again, and again, and again, until you reach whatever figure you want to play with.
I don’t know if anybody else noticed this, but, while fighting my way past the incessant parrotting of “Six million,” we are carefully not told that, in the main, the articles talk of a potential holocaust, while not saying that one is actually under way; that, of course, was left to Hitler and his evil cronies, and no amount of whitewash will cover their stain on history.
Finally, my apologies for the flippant tone of my earlier post; I considered deleting it, but would like others to read that and this, and see how easily we can be conned, if we are not constantly on our guard. I’m off to clean my teeth, and rid my mouth of this nasty taste.

Well, quite frankly, I think the maker of the little film is beneath contempt.
I think it says it all that it’s entitled ‘Six Million–my *rse’, and my original posting here was pitched at a similar level to illustrate my point.

Why don’t you learn to read–and not listen to what the narrator of your little piece says..?
What those articles are saying are that a population of six million Jews were in danger of starvation and opression in the imediate post Great War period.
They do not say that they are being exterminated en masse.
The narrator of that film is however making a parallel, the purpose of which is that a lie has apparently been peddled–presumably to gain sympathy or advantage in some way.

So, please do not try and tell me that a holocaust on the scale of what the Nazis perpertrated was going on 25 years before they started in the hope that we believe that it didn’t really happen.

Using what is essentially sloppy journalism regarding anti-Jewish pogroms in what was the old Russian empire (and God knows there were enough of them) to tie a figure to a later much more nasty event.

Even if the 6 million figure regarding Hitler’s holocaust is incorrect, and I suspect it is, only by being on the low side, it doesn’t really cover the aspect of all the other millions of poor b*ggers who went west under the ‘final solution’ does it?

Read again, this wasn’t persecution, it was Holocaust, and here i thought/was taught that was invented by Hitler.
And ridicule and pity is part of the punishment that whomever it may concern, that dare question,

I don’t fully understand the need for this debate. Surely the ghastly newsreel footage from Belsen, Dachau, Auschwitz, Treblinka, Sobibor, and perhaps another dozen charnel houses screams silently to the world. What need is there for debate? Is it just a numbers game?

No it’s not just a numbers game, if you had made the effort to read,
you would have read that media was reporting on the European Holocaust of Jews,
-but with the twist that they were reporting on said holocaust before Hitler came around, as early as 1918 in fact.

Like i said, if this isn’t time-warp and/or clairvoyance, then i don’t know what is,
in spite of the fact that we were all taught not to question this particular part of history, under pain of punishment.
